Third Grade Trip to Nashville
Mrs. Robinson's class in front of the Parthenon.Mrs. Robinson's third grade class took an overnight trip to Nashville, Tennessee. On the first day, the class toured Cheekwood Botanical Gardens to tie in their year's study of Botany, followed by a wonderful dinner at the Aquarium Restaurant. After reading Haans Brinker aloud in class this year, Mrs. Robinson decided to take her class ice skating the following morning. This was a hit for both students and parents!!! After skating, we enjoyed a much needed rest and picnic in Centennial Park, overlooking Nashville's Parthenon. To coincide with their studies of Ancient Greece and the Greek gods and goddesses, the class toured the Parthenon, a to-scale replica of the ancient Parthenon that stands on the Acropolis in Athens. We are thankful that they had beautiful weather and a safe trip!
