Third Grade
This year's 3rd grade Latin scholars have enjoyed their first term lessons about items in the classroom, colors and numbers. They have been giving and responding to commands, greeting their magistra, asking and answering questions. How have they already learned so much? Come by the classroom any Tuesday or Thursday to discover the secret (which has something to do with bowling, basket ball , special guest visits and strange hats) we would love to see you!
The 3rd grade had a wonderful time on our trip to Nashville.
The 3rd grade had a wonderful time on our trip to Nashville.
This year, Mrs. Robinson's class studied Botany. Therefore, after a picnic lunch at Percy Warner Park, we took a botany tour of Cheekwood's Botanical Gardens. We finished off the day with dinner at the Aquarium restaurant and swimming back at our hotel.
The next day, the children (and parents) had a great time ice skating. After a picnic and before our tour of the Parthenon, Mrs. Robinson gave a devotional from Acts 17 about the Apostle Paul and his time in Athens. Recalling Paul's words from Mars Hill, overlooking the Parthenon, ancient biblical times were brought to life.
