Swimming

Mark the date:  Spring swimming begins March 29th.  Come work on strokes, starts and turns.  Mondays only.  Open for all fall swim team and any student that will be 1st - 11th grade in fall 2010.


Regents offers swim team for the following:

  • Elementary    (1st - 6th grade)

  • JV    (7th - 9th grade)

  • Varsity    (10th grade)

  • Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yds without assistance.

  • Practices are held at the Turner Center pool.

Regents competes in an inter-squad meet for times, regional meet held in Oxford, and the MAIS championship state meet held in Flowood, MS.

The  09/10 lions swam well this season.  They finished in 1st place, with a total of 131 points in the Regional meet held in Oxford, MS.  At the state meet held in Flowood, MS,  they finished 4th in the elementary division and 7th  overall.  Out of 36 swimmers who went to state, 22 placed in an event.  The lions came away with 10 relay team ribbons and 19 individual ribbons.  Wow!  Congratulations lions on a great season!!!
