Sixth Grade
Mrs. Jones' class in front of the New Orleans Aquarium.Last year, the Regents Sixth Grade class traveled to New Orleans, Louisiana. As a celebration of the curriculum, the sixth graders toured the World War II Museum, which proved to be an informative and emotionally moving experience. The class also visited the New Orleans Aquarium and spent some time in the French Quarter, having breakfast at Cafe Du Monde. A look around New Orleans at the affects of Hurricane Katrina was also very sobering. We're glad they had a safe trip!
Geology is the topic in science this year. They learn a little chemistry before they launch into specific rocks and their formation. These students will also learn about earthquakes, volcanoes, rivers, and oceans as they study the earth's crust in great detail!
