DevelopmentWhat is Regents Annual Giving Campaign? The Annual Giving Campaign is the largest source of non-tuition income. It is a partnership between the Board of Directors, our faculty and staff, our parents, grandparents, and our friends in the community to raise money annually for those tangible items and specific programs not covered in tuition, but that enhance the quality of education for every student. This fund drive kicks off in the fall with a direct solicitation and continues until the end of the current school year. A Regents Development Committee has been established to oversee the Annual Giving Campaign, as well as, all fundraising activities at Regents. The Development Committee works in conjunction with the Board of Directors in ensuring all fundraising is in keeping with the standards and values of Regents. Every year the Board and Headmaster will decide where the current year's Annual Giving dollars would best be spent. A key factor in attracting corporate and foundation grants is the percentage of participation in the school's gift program; the goal at Regents is always 100% parent, board, grandparent, faculty and staff participation. Annual Fund donations range from $1 to $20,000 and more, and all gifts are tax deductible. The Annual Report of Donors compiled by the Development Office after the close of the fiscal year, recognizes all donations received during the school year. Every child and every family at Regents School of Oxford benefits from a successful Annual Fund Campaign. What is the goal? The 2011-2012 Annual Giving goal has been set for $50,000. In addition, an additional $50,000 will hopefully be raised by the newly created Regents Parents Association (RPA) through various special events. Therefore, we collectively hope to raise $100,000. How is the school using the Annual Giving money this year?Regents 2011-2012 Annual Giving Campaign and the money raised through RPA special events (Autumn Fair and the Annual Auction) focuses on three areas of improvement to the school - Technology, Curriculum, and Building and Grounds. When you choose to give money to the Annual Giving fund, your donation will go towards improving each of these areas at the school. Each of these categories is an equally important component of the school and directly benefits each student and family. What are the giving levels at Regents? The Lion's Den - A gift of $5000 or more Headmaster's Society - A gift of $2500 or more Director's Circle - A gift of $1000 or more Order of the Trivium - A gift of $750 or more Red and Blue Society - A gift of $500 or more Loyalty Club - A gift of $250 or more Friends of Regents - A gift of up to $249 Will my donation really make a difference to the school?Absolutely! Together we are all part of the Regents family. It is vital that we reach our goal of raising at least $50,000 for the school so that we can provide technological resources for our teachers, remain academically competitive with new curriculum, and enhance the building and grounds through various renovations, including the playgrounds and common areas. Foundations, corporations, and major donors care about the level of support that is shown for the school. That's why it is so important that more families, more faculty and staff, and more friends contribute toward this goal. Any gift, large or small, is greatly appreciated and will be acknowledged with enthusiasm and gratitude. Is giving to the annual fund unique to Regents? No. Classical Christian schools and independent schools both have long relied upon the generosity and loyalty of their constituencies to provide enhancements to the basics provided by tuition revenue. When do I need to send my donation?Regents accepts gifts all year. We accept gifts and even pledges. You can send in an annual giving envelope and simply mark that your gift will be paid by the end of the calendar year, which is May 31, 2012. How do I get more information? Please contact the development office either by calling Lynda Ratliff, Director of Development, at 662-232-1945 or sending an email to development@regentsofoxford.org. |
