Cross Country

Regents offers cross country teams for the following:                       

  • Girls 5th-6th grade

  • Boys 5th-6th grade

  • Girls JV

  • Boys JV

    • Regents will compete in races locally in Oxford and the surrounding areas this season.  We will most likely also travel to Memphis, TN for one meet.  

    Coaches:  Meg Jenkins and Ann Maura Hinton


    2010/2011 Lions Cross-Country Season:

    • Practice will begin Monday August 23, 2010
    • The team will meet at The Whirlpool trials from 3:00-3:45 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays (When it cools off we may change practice to Lake Patsy, but for now meet at the trails!)
    • The last day of this cross country season will be October 7th
    • Races for this season will be local road races in Oxford and in the nearby surrounding areas---we will not be traveling to Memphis every week (although we may make one trip up there)...so now we can show Oxford how great the Lion's cross country team is doing!
    • Hope to see everyone on the 23rd!

    The 09/10 lions ran well this season.  Rachel Starnes set a new school record in the 2 mile course with a time of 14:46.  All of our  runners shaved off seconds and even minutes in every race they ran.  Congratulations lions on a great season!!!
